The Comedian Dara O’Briain has been given the task of making a group of Live Action roleplayers laugh. He spends two days exploring their hobby in the ITV show Tough Gig. The bartender in this video that Dara goes to speak with, is Vollsanger, the fellow holding the guitar in the video response section. It’s a funny larp song, and worth a click.

I like Dara even more because of this. It’s nice to see someone actually try to understand this particular hobby.

lol I can’t even keep in character on online RP games… LARPing must be something else entirley more difficult…

I do like the sound of those foam padded blades though… A mock sword fight seems much more my style.

if larping floats your boat fine but rule 7?
even if you love it how can you not on occasion take the piss? you are dressing up and playing at swords and sorcery with a fair few people who do take it seriously? it is inherently ridiculous surely you must be able to laugh at it and have a bit of fun?

Our system is just so funny sometimes. You can come close to rule 7 as long as you don’t go to far
