Belly Dance Lesson #1 – BellyDanceBoulevard.com dancing lessons
ByThis is the first lesson out of a full online belly dance course from www.bellydanceboulevard.com . Watch and practice at the comfort of your home, by yourself or with a friend. The video starts with 2 minutes of me doing dance improvisation; I believe it is important to see your teacher’s dance style before learning from her. Following that, there are about seven minutes of belly dance lesson. We learn how to do the twist, how to walk with it, and more. The music I dance to is the song “Ra’etak” (“I protected you”) from Hussein el Masry’s album “Arabian Emotions”. Visit BellyDanceBoulevard.com to watch the entire course, to get video recommendations, tips, to read articles and see the beautiful boutique of belly dance costumes and accessories. Enjoy!

@BellyDanceB Yes, let me know when you get more inventory. I generally wear a small or medium, depending on the style or manufacturer. Thank you!

@lex6819 Hi, well, I used to sell these tops myself at the boutique, I don’t have them right now but the good news are I am about to get many more! If you can wait with it a month or so, you will be able to choose exactly what you like.
If you are in a hurry, I can check for you if I have any left in stock.

This might be slightly off topic, but where do you buy crop tops like the ones you wear in these instructional videos? I want a simple crop top, with a short or 3/4 sleeve. I have googled and googled and I can’t find anything simple and in a pastel color. Everything looks too hip hop, or has the shoulders cut out (which I don’t like – I want my shoulders covered!). Where can I find a top like the lavender top in this video? thank you!

@mommyrere14 same i mean i could do the hip movement but when u try moving my arms my hips go of track.
September 4th, 2010 at 2:38 am
@mommyrere14 It takes some time, but keep practicing and you will get it!
September 4th, 2010 at 3:35 am
i am pretty good with the hip movements but as soon as i try to incorprate the arms i kinda get off track, guess i better work on a lil more, you make it look so easy!

@LilAlia7 You are very welcome! It is really my pleasure.

September 4th, 2010 at 5:53 am
I thought it was easier when i watched it… but it is hard! I’m practicing a lot just to get the twist! =D Thanks so much you are a great teacher!

@Ladyhawkwright Hmm, you could try doing more work with the chest and hips. Roll your chest, like you would for a chest undulation, then move your hips in the same motion. I don’t know if this will look like an undulation, but its worth a shot. Take care, and good luck.

She’s hot, but terrible coreography and teaching.

Thank you very much for publishing this video, I’ll watch the others later when I’ve practiced this one. My musical ear and rythmic body helps me also very much to practice. It worked from the very beginning.
Greetings from Sweden
I’ll check your homepage…
