@CelticSoxTom41 lol yeah yeah. To each his own. Your initial statement was bogus though. Just my opinion. Agree to disagree.

@thangQanime Hey, don’t be disrespecting the Mayor. He makes Zangief look like a goddam Boy Scout in comparison.
July 22nd, 2011 at 12:18 pm
@thangQanime Haters gonna hate, asshat. Keep wasting away in denial like the elitist goon you are.

@CelticSoxTom41 3 was boring, I traded it back after 3 weeks, most people agree 2 was better end of story. They could’ve at least brought back some of the badass characters from 2 and not fucking wasted slots on characters like Mike Haggar and she fuckin hulk? Seriously? Lmao what a joke. I bet capcom’s dick smells like your ass fanboy.

@CelticSoxTom41 Lol did I touch a nerve? What a weak hearted pansy you are. 2 was broken with certain characters (Cable, cyclops, magneto, ironman namely) but at least it was just relegated to those few characters. 3 was pathetic, any character has the potential spam move thats easy as balls to pull off with little to no penalty. And bitch boy, dont bring up sentinel because anyone with common sense knows hes more broken in 3 than he was in 2. Fact. lol cry more pusscake.
July 22nd, 2011 at 1:16 pm
@thangQanime You’re talking like 2 wasn’t broken at all. Newsflash: it was. All you ever needed to win a match was Storm, Magneto, and Sentinel; maybe you’d throw in Cable, the Strider/Doom trap, Psylocke or Cyclops, but those three were all people would use, spamming Rocket Punches and Magnetic Tempests all motherfuckin’ day. 2 was every bit as broken as you claim 3 to be, and half that roster was crap anyway. I mean, Bone Claw Wolverine? You think that’s a decent character? Fuck you, asshole.

@CelticSoxTom41 So yeah nice attempt at applying the “quality over quantity” but it doesnt work when the thing ur talking about lacks both. The only reason any fan of the others would play this trash is because they are diehards who would pretty much love the shit unconditionally and try to rationalize all its faults. Fuck even if there were only 5 characters and 3 of them were the same, we’d have clowns like u defending that shit. “Well at least the moveslist will be more focused now hurrdurr”
July 22nd, 2011 at 2:28 pm
@CelticSoxTom41 Oh please. 3 is more balanced than two? Yeah right. 3 is broken as shit. It’s so easy to counter another hyper combo with another hyper combo then to just chain them to destroy your oppenent with ease. I mean really, seriously. You had to be really good in the previous versions to pull off chain combos and hyper chains. The game spoon feeds you. And no 3’s roster is shit. 2 might’ve had sprites but they worked well for what it was. 3 wasted so many slots its not funny.
July 22nd, 2011 at 2:54 pm
@thangQanime 2’s roster was a cut-copy-and-paste mashup of sprites held together with dental floss and glue, and people only used like a 3rd of them; the rest were either headswaps of characters like Ryu or Guile, or total garbage characters like Servbot. 3 fixes BOTH issues. It’s way more balanced, and has some wicked good additions, even if the roster’s a bit smaller. Quality over quanitity, motherfucker, quality over quantity.

Don’t care what anyone says MVC2 will always be better. This was such a disappointment…
July 22nd, 2011 at 4:16 pm
@CelticSoxTom41 Um FUCK no! MVC2 roster shits on the roster from MVC3. The only good additions here are Dante, Zero, and Wesker. Must be out your goddam mind.

One of my favorite things about this game is that the characters are so dramatically diversified to the point where it takes so much more strategy in what characters you pick (not just which characters you’re good at) so that your team is ready for any situation they might come across.

If people were more open-minded and were to give other characters a chance they might end up liking them also. I mean more than half the people who’ve played these games probably never even heard of Strider, CapCom, and Jin before their MVC inclusion. If those 3 were in this, but not the previous games, the same people complaining about their exclusion would probably be calling them “wastes of slots”. If people would just learn to try new things we wouldn’t have this problem.

There are some vets that are not in that I would have liked, but I didn’t want this game to have about 40 characters and only 10 of them being newcomers. This isn’t KOF were 90% of the cast comes back each game with only 5 or 6 new characters. It’s acceptable there because one comes out about every year, but a game like this which took over a decade to come out needs more new faces. If I want to play with a whole bunch of vets then I’ll go play MVC2.

The main problem some people have is they seem to think that this is a remake rather than a sequel. Or MVC2.5 or something. There’s all the complaints about vets not getting and these people fail to understand that the roster is limited this time and they wanted to put in new characters. So some vets were gonna be cut. If someone’s favorite vet didn’t get, they turn their rage towards the new characters with this BS claim that they “magically took their spot.”

@CelticSoxTom41 Yeah, I mean this game isn’t perfect, but at least there’s more variety. MVC2 was basically X-men vs SF(with special guests on both sides) and among the characters were 5+ shotos, two Guiles, two Ironmen, two Megamen, and two Wolverines.(two EXACT versions of the same character here with little to no difference) The only two characters in MVC3 who you can you play the closest alike are Ryu & Akuma.

@mustymuf I know is not the main topic but Dino Crisis rocks…. IDK why they stop the saga….
July 22nd, 2011 at 7:01 pm
@KCJ506 well a clone and a newbie I could do without and much rather have Megaman, Frank West, Strider, or some one from Onimusha or Dino Crisis even more diversity if you ask me
July 22nd, 2011 at 7:10 pm
@mustymuf Four SF characters is cluttering up the roster? Some of you people exaggerate too much. Be thankful there’s not more. Because if some people had their way, over half the Capcom side would be SF.

@ZeroAzrael614 They claim the reason for no netcode is because it would could severe lag that would make the game basically unplayable for those who are fighting. In other words make the netcode even worse than it is. And the reason Trish got in is because after the DMC team gave permission to use Dante, they offered Trish as well. Nitsuma just simply went with it. At least she offers provides variety unlike some characters people want. *cough Ken cough*
July 22nd, 2011 at 8:07 pm
*sigh* so disappointing
July 22nd, 2011 at 8:53 pm
The choices they made with this game warrent some questioning. Why no spectator mode? Why the horrible net code?! Why the insane lack of game modes? Did they really think those “event challenges” were fun? Do they think still picture character endings pass as a “deep story”? Shouldn’t a limited roster have pushed them to make better character choices for the roster (Trish?!)? Wouldn’t it have been better to take some more time to finish the game rather than rush it out unfinished like it is?!
