Undead in Tokyo #63: Halloween 2008
ByWatch in HQ: jp.youtube.com I revisit the topic of Halloween in Japan. This year I went to the Glitterball hosted by Metropolis Magazine. A weekly free paper in Tokyo, known as the Gaijin Bible. It is essential reading for expat Tokyoites. It was pretty cool though waaaaay overcrowded though. Im guessing a few thousand people came through. Awesome costumes and amazing things to uhmmm… see. It was 2500 yen advance tickets to get in for four floors of dancing free drinks and food. Very cool. I recommend it next year, if its less crowded. Not for the claustrophobic. Also it’s changed in the US too, they pretty much skip thanksgiving except for the grocery stores and put up christmas junk early after halloween. I guess halloween and christmas are good at selling crap
