The video talks about the people who complain about the commercialisation of christmas and it voices their remarks about going back to traditional christian values instead of santa claus and presents.
So if you christian take a fest and turn it into something else why complain if someone takes christmas and turns it into something else.
the vodeo also points out that the original meaning of celebrating birth/resurrection/death of some ancient guy is no more valuable then celebrating the ghul.

@omnissient:
There’s a problem with that statement. Regardless of the origin of the fest, most Christian scholars know Jesus was not born Dec 25th, the original meaning for Christmas was to celebrate the birthday of Christ.
If Christianity did not adopt the holiday, today we probably wouldn’t be celebrating Christmas. Do you think the majority of people celebrate the day of the God Thor? No, they don’t, so really damn moot of a point you made.

@MidgarEagle
I’d like to see the data and organization that researched it before I believe that there are actualy 58% of us that can do that. That figure seems a little too high.

I’m actually more impressed by the 58% who apparently could find the Earth on a globe.

Oh, is that what she said. I thought she was raving about a still-born Earth, and didn’t even catch the first part of the sentence.
Many thanks:D.

I also love how the fireworks displays on New Year’s Eve originated (according to the wiki) with a Chinese belief that loud noises would scare away a certain demon that showed up at about the time of New Year (which is February in China).

kids more familiar with a fictional cartoon than a real ghoul, hahahah

you know that thing can’t be pagan and satanic at the same time? because satan is judeo-christian thing and pagan means non-judeo-christian (thing)
by the way, by this logic, the “true meaning” of christmass is also pagan – the celebration of equinox

I just love the line, ” Frightening the Demons is the Reason for the Season.” And the ending.
