ByNearly all of us must be familiar with the well loved textbook ‘Encircling the Earth in Eighty Days’ and the subsequent film based on it. That the writer should have been prompted to inscribe a textbook on such a topic might seem surprising to those of us who have been born in this age of supersonic airplanes. Many years from immediately human beings might find it equally amusing to glance at a textbook entitled ‘Encircling the Earth in Eighty Minutes’ written by a contemporary of ours.
